The Holidays

I’d love to say that we all got super dressed up and went to an amazing party with friends and family but that was definitely not the case.  This time of year I get super anxious because we are in Florida alone.  As you all know my family is in New York and although we could visit we opted to stay in Florida in order for the kids to experience Christmas morning in their home.  I never liked going away for Christmas since I’d hate to carry around with gifts and I’m 100% sure I’d get asked tons of questions like “But how is Santa going to find us if we’re not home?”  So NO LOL.

So we spent it home in pj’s.  It was a bit calm…I won’t say it was boring because being with my family is never boring but yes it was very calm and quiet.  We watched movies and wrote letters to Santa on cookies that I bought the kids and it was soo much fun! We put out the cookies and to my shock I didn’t have MILK! Grrrr Luckily Jaiden is a water junkie and he quickly said “That’s OK Santa likes water too!” So we left him water LOL. I quickly put the kids to bed and Hommy and I went to bed also (Lucky for me I had wrapped all the gifts already) Christmas morning for us was no different from yours I would say, except for the fact that Jaiden and Mila were up by 6am and Hommy didn’t wake up until 9am!! Can you imagine being a kid and having to wait for your dad to wake up so you can finally open your gifts?!! Haha!

After opening presents we just relaxed at home.  Later on in the night we went out to see some Christmas lights in our town and then went to eat.  New Years also quiet, we literally slept through it.  So no fancy parties on our end but I guess when you spend it with your loved ones that’s all you kind of need.  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year!
